Dusty Piano Blues

  • In the corner of a room, stands a dusty piano,
Whispers of the past, playin' soft like a shadow.
Each note takes me back, down that lonely mile,
Where dreams went hangin', ‘neath the southern sky's smile.

A broken dream, I carry like a faded song,
With the moonlight dancing, it can feel so wrong.
But the bleeding rhythm, it’s wild and free,
Echoes of a heart that longed for me.

So I pour another round, drown it in whiskey story,
Each sip tells a tale, ain't filled with glory.
Fireflies flicker, out in the velvet night,
Underneath the stars, everything feels right.

The silent wind carries secrets from afar,
Where laughter once lived, now it just leaves scars.
But I’ll keep on playin', my soul laid bare,
Let the dusty piano sing out my despair.

And when the morning breaks, with its sad refrain,
I’ll pack up my sorrow, and I'll dance in the rain.
In this life of hard roads, where shadows often play,
Every broken piece leads to the light of day.

So here’s to the memories, that I’ll never erase,
In the dusty piano, I find my place.
What was lost in the night, can sometimes be found,
In the chords of a song, where love knows no bounds.
